December 7, 201114 yr I frequently fly SAS routes on IVAO from Sweden, just missed today's online but I did a short hop from Rotterdam to ManchesterThat's great! Don't you agree with me the Swedish ATC on IVAO is good?I just did a flight myself from ESSA-EKCH and even though I too was a bit late I was lucky enough to have ATC coverage all the way...ESSA ground and dep and then Sweden Control over to Copenhagen control and must say a flight like this one with ATC coverage all way and with great airport sceneries for both your origin and destination both with support for Aerosoft's AES even with de-icing before taxi :( and all this in the NGX...can't imagine how you could get any closer to reality in front of your PC :(!!
December 7, 201114 yr The Swedish atc on vatsim is also pretty damn good, along with the rest of the Scandinavian ATC of course :) Johan Pettersen

December 7, 201114 yr I did my first full VATSIM flight with a full coverage somewhere around summer 2003. That was probably one of the days that got me hung up on flightsim probably forever. VATSIM forever for me. After last Openskies event, nothing else can be wished for. Full staffed England was great.

Have to check that out and will absolutely join and will come flying to Heathrow tomorrow as well! Will be awesome, first the return leg from EKCH to ESSA, fuel and clean up 'Freja Viking' and let the AES PAX deboard/bord and then depart for EGLL and that will also let me find out how my newly installed UK2000 Heathrow scenery is! I fly 'Freja Viking' exclusively and I checked out her real destinations and bought AES compatible scenery for all her destinations there is...at the moment I have Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen, London, Manchester, Frankfurt, Berlin, Zurich and Lanzarote and will add the rest of her destinations whenever AES compatible scenery is released for those airports! So...when people ask why they didn't get any Christmas gifts from me this year you guys all know where my money went :wink:See you all online, my callsign usually is SAS071 :(

VATSIM forever for me. After last Openskies event, nothing else can be wished for. Full staffed England was great.I know the feeling and I guess I did my first online flight somewhere near that time me too. I started out on VATSIM but then I switched over to IVAO out of curiousity I guess and got stuck but only a couple of month ago I checked out VATSIM again but what made me give it up for IVAO this time was all the hassle trying to fix correctly shown liveries for the surrounding traffic. In that regard IVAO is truly great with their MTL downloader/installer software where you get thousands of real world liveries for any a/c model you could think of assuring any surrounding traffic is always displayed in the correct colors and all this with a single click...VERY nice!!
December 8, 201114 yr I can't abide cruelty to animals or children. I could never play a hunting game where you have to shoot a deer for example ie DeerHunter.however I have absolutely no problem pumping bullets into a simulated human or blowing up a room full of simualted people. As a citizen of the world, I try to at least understand (not necessarily agree with) all types of points of view. But I'm going to need a little more explanation on this one. It's okay to kill simulated fellow humans, but not okay to kill simulated deer?I'm with Word Not Allowed on this one. There is a wealth of study that indicates that violent video games can lead to actual violence, especially amongst the youth. I'm afraid this world is never going to grow up. Greed and Pride. December 8, 201114 yr I don't use ATC online because it's fantastic but not "realistic", I mean, in real world one pilot flies the aircraft and the other communicates with ATC. In the simulated world you have to do both things at the same time and, in order to not make mistakes on controllers instructions, you end up with devoting all your attention to ATC and don't fly the airplane correctly. December 8, 201114 yr I agree it can get busy sometimes especially during departure and approach but after a while you get the hang of it pretty well. Then of course we have the virtual FS2Crew FO that helps lessen the burden quite a bit so like many else I'm looking forward to his company on the NGX flightdeck :(

Now with that and online ATC the emmersion is complete!! Try it out if you haven't!!Mas Martin Jensen

Definately not a game for you,I must admit I don't play any games on the computer or any platform other than solitaire, so I'm not qualified to comment, just seemed a little odd.
