trans altitude vs trans level

TA is the altitude to change between QNH to STD - during climb. It's altitude because you reach it while under QNH.TL is the level to set your altimeter to the local QNH - during decent. Again, called level because you reach it while under STD

and to remember what is what....In TA look at the A => it is a climbing arrow :)In TL look at the L => it is a decending arrow :)Cheers Andreas Riecken
