why do I get this ?

I agree with Bert, I love the way lights and effects. Other than the low image quality in your screenshot, I can't see anything wrong.

Is there a way to "fix" those lights ?ThanksVic
The way PMDG did the lights, will look peculiar on some purchased airports, it´s all aboutlayer on top of the default rwy. Some looking good other not so good. I think I remember that FSDT scenerydosen´t look that good, when lights on the Rwy at night close up../ Leffe

Nah NAh ! can't let u say that, i got them all and NGX + FSDT at night is a fantastic combination. And if you got SHADE, it gets even better during day/night transition (this soft produces some nice effects on the ground and in the cockpit).cheers

I saw something similar while making my first night landing at FSDT's new KLAX in the NG. The runway texture appeared to have various iridescent colors when illuminated by the taxi light - almost like the effect you sometimes see when there is a thin layer of oil floating on a puddle of water. The colors would shift when the taxi light turned to follow the nosewheel steering.I assumed it was an interaction between the NG light texture and the FSDT concrete texture.Other than that, the FSDT night lighting at KLAX is superb.

Actually guys, there is an issue with this. Just look and open your eyes. However, due to the nature of FSX and all it's quirks and weirdness, developers have to invent genius work-arounds to provide the high quality we expect. This is a by-product of a work-around.....blame Microsoft. :)Developers are doing a great job with FSX, which is a redundant piece of software btw, sometimes they just clash a bit as FSX is now pretty much an open source platform and developers have their own way of fixing things/creating enhancements that fsx was no designed to do..

The problem is that you don't see a rainbow on the runway when you shine a light onto it. That is the effect you get with the PMDG lights. This is not to say the normal lighting effect is any better with everything turning white but it is still not very realistic.Mark.

To be honest, you'd also actually see a light illuminating something. I find it decently accurate for the newer HID lenses of modern aircraft. For what they were given, it's not bad at all.
