AES 2.20 in the making...

Recommended Posts

Hello all,A heads-up: At the time of its fifth anniversery, a 'pre release' of AES version 2.20 has been made available at the Community Services site of Aerosoft. Oliver Pabst does not call it a beta, but has decided to collect comments, before releasing it in the normal upgrade process. Improvements have e.g. been made in the position of the ground assistant, the 'liveries' of the vehicles and rolling and movement of their wheels. Supported airports are the same as in 2.14. The screenshots look great (as to be expected).Kind regards,René

Good news. I am hopeful he will continue developing this so it includes freight operations - I know he was working on that at some point but haven't heard anything new in a while... AES is one of those things that has really enhanced the sim experience and Oliver is an amazingly talented man

Why dont they make it compatible with all scenery , even default? Wouldn't that make the sales even higher? Coding problem? unsure.pngThanks

Yes - Oliver requires the scenery authors to construct gates in a particular way, and they must send hime the files so he can create his own AES files for each individual aiport. He also has certain design standards that airports should match before he will consider them for AES development.
