Flight Simulation Club Meeting in West Vancouver February 13

Featured Replies

The next meeting of the West Vancouver Flight Simulation Club will be on Friday February 13 from 2pm to 4pm in the Audio-Visual Studio at the West Vancouver Seniors Centre (22nd Street and Esquimalt). The main topic will be a documentary video on the AVRO Arrow, which should prove to be interesting. The balance of the meeting will be Q&A with the projector. Non-members and non-seniors are all welcome, for a nominal drop-in fee.NigelVancouver

I happen to be leaving for a week in Vancouver tomorrow and will be staying just a few blocks away. I'll try to drop 'round.BlairCYOW

"The balance of the meeting will be Q&A with the projector."How do you converse with a projector? Mine won't respond to me no matter what I do. I have threatened it, tried to smash my cat into it, threw a couple of hundred CDroms at it, threatened to sell it and upgrade to a talking model, and the bugger still refuses to respond. It does a good job of displaying 35 mm slides, but can't do squat beyond that. So, what did you do to get yours to talk? Pull its toenails out? :-)

ROFL Tom!

Hey TomDid you read in the papers today that the Economist Intelligence Unit has voted Vancouver the best city in the world to live, along with Melbourne and Vienna. Apparently, one of the factors that the Intelligence Unit uncovered and very much swayed the vote, was that in West Vancouver we had developed a TALKING PROJECTOR, in fact it was so clever that it responded to any question it was asked. How about that for a real winner?cheersNigel:+
