Has anyone done a planned RTW trip and if so what route did you go? Thinking of doing it over the Xmas break, on VATSIM where possible.

I'm going to go from Bristol (EGGD) which is my home airport. Was thinking of going 'the other way' actually, will be an interesting experience.

If you're going to do it the other way around, be sure to fly at sunset/ dawn. Did it once on a EDDF-LAX flight and the whole flght was a twilight scenery, that was pretty! ;)

I did this route over the last month. I didn't fly an NG, but all the legs would be manageable for one.http://www.gcmap.com/mapui?P=ksjc-mggt-spim-sllp-spim-tncm-lpaz-lebl-lipz-lcph-htkj-vrmm-vtsp-vmmc-rjbb-rjcc-panc-kmry
