December 23, 201114 yr What exactly is the point of going for a i7 2700k, which is a cherry picked 2600k for better overclocking, if you are going to only settle for air cooling. The whole point of the 2700k is to go higher with your overclock which will produce more heat. Yes, you may be able to achieve better results with fewer volts but I still question it. December 23, 201114 yr ok why do you recommend that one when you have the nh-d14?Because you're asking for a budget cooler man. Here is the link for my case I am going to get http://www.scan.co.u...-window-w-o-psu And no, you DON'T need a full tower for the NH-D14
December 23, 201114 yr Yeah many mid towers would fit it. I would guess the 600T, HAF 922 + 912, 690 2 and probably many more. Both optimists and pessimists contribute to our society. The optimist invents the airplane and the pessimist the parachute. ~Gil Stern

A quick google search will show many people with that particular NZXT M59 case and a NH-D14

December 23, 201114 yr Author But if I have the money than why not just get an i7 because it is the better CPU plus he said that the i7 is good because it has 4 cores 8threads the i5 has 4 cores but not the hyperthreading Core i7 2600K 3.4ghz 8GB Corsair Vengence DDR3 1600mhz Gigabyte HD 6950 GPU Corsair TX750 750w power supply 2*500gb WD 7200rpm 16mb cache HDD's Asus P8P67 PRO REV 3.1 mobo Richard
December 23, 201114 yr Hyperthreading will do nothing for FSX. If you have the money, put it elsewhere. Both optimists and pessimists contribute to our society. The optimist invents the airplane and the pessimist the parachute. ~Gil Stern

December 23, 201114 yr Author ok nice, will that fan fit in this case?NZXT M59 Core i7 2600K 3.4ghz 8GB Corsair Vengence DDR3 1600mhz Gigabyte HD 6950 GPU Corsair TX750 750w power supply 2*500gb WD 7200rpm 16mb cache HDD's Asus P8P67 PRO REV 3.1 mobo Richard
December 23, 201114 yr there is a comparison test done online. The 212 under load would get up over 80+ C degrees, not that hot really. The Corsair H60 that I have never reached 73 ever, normally in the low/middle 60's in FSX.I'm sure it keeps the cpu 10 degrees cooler than a 212, the H60 is cheap andextremely easy to install if you have a 120mm exhaust fan with normal spacedmounting screws. It mounts sandwiched between fan and back panel. Nothing goes outside the computer. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel.
