I know the Beaver X was made for FS9 originally. Now it has come out for FSX. The FSX version has .dds textures. I found a repaint for the plane but they are in .bmp since they need to be DXT3 for FS9.My question is if I convert them to DDS prior to loading them into FSX, will it make a difference? Is it worth the trouble? I know they will work in FSX as bmp files but I want to know if it will improve them any updating them to .dds files?Thank you.

No, converting texturefiles will never result in better textures , if there is a change ,its only worse..Sometimes , depending the filetypes involved , fileweight can be a bit higher or lower ,wich is of no importance in most cases.General advice , if it works stay off and do convert.
