September 30, 201411 yr Just an update guys, I finally opted for a Dell U2412M 1920x1200 16:10 IPS. Haven't yet tested FSX but I can say first impression is very positive compared to my previous Samsung 226BW which I enjoyed anyway.I had to decide between a wider 27 inch 16:9 Dell U2711 and the 24 Dell U2412M. In the end I wasn't sure about going to 2500 x 1600 native resolution, I believe 1900 is enough and I did not want to be penalised by a few frame rates based on what you are saying in the forum. Am aware you can use less antialising but if using FSX application understand you just have one setting. I worked out a calculation to compare a 27 inch 16:9 to a 24 inch 16:10 and basically the main difference is the screen is wider (left to right) by 8 cm but in term of height (top to bottom) they are nearly the same.I think both options are perfectly fine however, I just felt that was the best for me, in the end I can always put the screen 2 cm closer to my face to obtain the same effect (don't need a thousand inch screen to be watched from 300 meters away!)Cheersm. After reading the responses on the 1920x1200 res I finally opted to go with the same 1920x1200 16:10 ISP 24". I didn't go with the Dell but with the ASUS PA248Q IPS Black 24.1" Monitor, can't wait to check it out. Hope you have all had some good experiences using 1920x1200 with FSX. Thanks again. F.
