Best Europe Airport Sceneries?

Featured Replies

Hi All,Just coming back to FS9, wondering what european airport sceneries people would recommend? payware is fineI have Simflyers Frankfurt and Rome, are there better?ThanksGeoff

If you want very good airports for Italy try freeware ISDproject. They are as good as any payware and better than a lot.

Heathrow Pro by Gary Summons is a MUST - http://www.heathrowpro.com.You also may want to look at some of the German Airports sceneries by Aerosoft, rumour has it they are also very good.

German Airports are excellent. The ISD and Lago sceneries for Italy are all top notch. Swedeflight Pro sceneries are excellent as well. Heathrow Pro is great but a frame rate hog (and I have a P4 3.2 rig). Simwings Madrid is very nice too. I also highly recommend OSS Gatwick, IDS Dublin, IDS Cork and the recent Paris DeGaulle release available at: http://www.fsfrance.com/Lee

Hi, great value with god frame rates provide the German Airports Series (parts 1 and 4 are released for FS2004) and definitely Gary Summons

Has anyone tried the new version of Lyon St. Exupery (found here http://www.rasasso.org/realisationsa.htm) scenery yet? I have the fsfrance version of Lyon St. Exupery installed so I dont really want to unistall it and install the new version only to find out the new one isn't very good.

Don't forget FISD freeware sceneries for Finland (http://fisd.fsnordic.net/). Mainly smaller airports, but quality is excelent.-Juha

Moving further towards the Mysterious East, the Tashkent, Uzbekistan and Novosibirsk, Russia sceneries are terrific and gentle on the frame rates. Almaty, Kazakhstan is nice, too, but it slows my P1.8 dinosaur to a crawl. Then, of course, you'll want to put some Tupolevs, Ilyushins and Antonovs in your hanger, because the Boeings and Beechcrafts just won't look right. All of these things can be found at avsim.COM, but if you enter avsim.RUS instead you can experience a bit of cultural immersion, and maybe come away with a couple of additional interesting downloads you won't find here.

That FSNordick freeware is superb;) One that surprised me was the Canary Isles from Sim-Wings. I got my copy from 'Game', here in the UK for a mere 98p!! There's a patch to FS2004 at the website. It looks great, doesn't kill FPS, and even has those neat animated ground support vehicles, etc!I had always thought that the default Heathrow was good, but after trying the Heathrow Pro demo I went back and purchased the full version; yeah, it's hard on FPS but it looks fabulous...it really comes alive!! :)

At www.pl-vacc.org there are good sceneries of airports within the Republic of Poland.

My personal favourite is the SSW Moscow Global Scenery (http://www.simsoftworkshop.com/msk_gallery.html), truly stunning attention to detail, but still don't kill your FPS that badly, even with AI! :D
