With no SDK and no 3rd party support, Flight will stay as it is....or whatever MS decide to do with it.

Ages 4-12 are about the right target demographic for this iteration of "Flight." Seriously, it's no more complicated than PacMan, and not a lot more sophisticated for that matter... :(
Bill,So you can just throw aircraft around the sky like an arcade game then?

Don't forget one thing: Compare "Flight" with the bare "FSX" only, not with FSX+"every addon available on this planet". Remember how FSX appears after a new setup? So there is a BIIIIGGGGGGG improvement.Do never forget: Microsoft does create a Startmenu folder for FSX called "Microsoft GAMES". That's what a Flight Simulator is for Microsoft. Simply a Game. There's a lot of other companys who brought the fun and the "As real as it gets" feeling into FSX. And Microsoft didn't saw another 1$ after selling the Base-Software. Now it's different. Developers like ORBX are not supporting "Flight" anymore, and the result is again what it has ever been for Microsoft: A game for those who even fly a heavy aircraft using keys and mouse...Yes, "Flight" is different from what you all might expect. My 5 year old son is fascinated and I can't get back the flightstick...Guess my wife would like it too...and usually she HATES it when I spend too much time flying.I for myself will stay with FSX since I now know how "Flight" comes along, what the intention of MS is and, sorry, I'm one of those PMDG/ORBX/REX/ASE/IVAO freak-users, so I'm looking for something different than the "Flight" experience.
You may have noticed that, unlike in FSX, there's just 1 island you can fly over, no AI planes, no cars on the roads, no boats in the water, and just a handfull of GA planes in flight right? So in that respect, i don't think the comparison with even default FSX is fair.

And as we all know, this age group are prolific buyers of DLC.

90% of CH, Saitek, etc. hardware functionality is unsupported. You can take off, fly and land, but you better be really good on VFR, cause there sure as hell isn't any nav support!

No radio beacons at all?Does the ability to add them remain or are they stripped out of the code totally?

The content of beta video is a peace of junk. I can see the old ground textures transfered from FSX, I can see the f.....g stuttering, I can see the f.....g blurry textures. They took old Flight simulator and made an old looking "game" cutted to peaces. It is like new Modern warfare 3 - they only changed the story, but graphics, textures and engine is the same as the first modern warfare few years ago :sad:And I looked forward to it :(

I like FSX because its flight and model realism. I like X-Plane 10 because of its overall amazing world, weather, light, graphics and smoothness. I need a company who will join these two aspects and make one amazing sim.

Karolina,Have a look here, you won't need FSX much longer...lolhttp://www.ixeg.net/

airlinejets: The best way would be if Captain Sim, PMDG and others could convert their models for X-Plane 10 :(
