What is this airnav fsx file in the file library?

Recommended Posts

Avsim main page shows a new file in the library "airnav navdata data File definition" for FSX. I dont have a dl account yet so I cant see any more info on it and I didnt see an info post in the file library forums. Would this update the vors lanes airports etc in FSX database by chance? That would be cool. Thanks Clark

File Description:A definition of the navdata data files including wpNavAID.txt, wpNavAPT.txt, wpNavRTE.txt and wpNavFIX used by all PMDG FMS-equipped aircraft. Although this file is currently available from Navigraph, the format of this file predates their service and is not proprietary information. Understanding the layout of these files will make it easier to add custom airports.
