Need Monitor Advice Please?

Hello all!It's about time I got a better monitor for the NGX. My current one is a modest 19" sq. 4:3 (1280x1024)!!! BenqSeems the world has gone to wide screen but I'm pretty sure my desk will not accommodate much more than a 23-24" model, as there's also another 15" screen there for my client PC.I don't really understand what the specifications mean in relation to gaming.Anything you guys can outline for me, as to what works best for FSX followed by other games, I'd appreciate.Cheers!

My 23" monitor is a good size for my desk and distance. My eyes are a little over 2' away from the screen and it seems fine to me. I have just enough room for small computer speakers at the sides of my monitor. I recommend you get one with an IPS panel since some are at consumer level prices now and they have better viewing angles than TN panels. I recommend one that has a native res of 1920x1080 and this is a common res for 23' widescreen LCD monitors. I recommend no higher than 8ms response time for gaming.

Well, I've gone down a different route. Went for a TN LED panel for more responsive gaming, rather than the viewing angle, and colour benefit of IPS. Right for me because i play a lot of FPS games as well as the sim.Also went for 120htz. I know what you're thinking, not much advantage accept at higher frame rate.But actually, 120htz is also beneficial even when pottering around the desktop, everything drags around much more smoothly. And no tearing in high FPS games of course.I went for a 24" BenQ XL2420T.Arrives on Monday, so I'll let you know what I think.

I'm also looking for a monitor for fsx and NGX, i saw a samsung 20" lcd 1600x1900, 16:9, and response time 2ms, any opinion about it?
