For Sim builders

Recommended Posts

Hi there,With the forthcoming SDK being released this should allow cockpit builders access to all or most ngx commands. My question is, would it be possible for PMDG to allow the pfd/nd, FMC, standby instruments etc, to be displayed on seperate monitors and resizeable etc. If this were possible, an almost perfect simulator could be produced by home cockpit builders. There are a few S/W companies that offer 737 s/w for home builders, yet in my opinion they are very expensive, but more importantly I have yet to see any with the fidelity of PMDG's 737!I for one would happily pay extra for a home cockpit version with the functionality I have mentioned. I would be very interested in PMDG's thoughts on this. Forgive me If this is completely unrealistic or unobtainable, I am not a computer programer! Although seeing what PMDG are capable of I would have thought they could achieve this. There is a lot of choice in 737 hardware on the market, yet I feel the software lags behind, and is inferior to pmdg's displays.CheersNeil

I couldn't have written it down any better.i have started my prep's for a home cockpit but for the now i am still hoping the PMSG's NGx code can be the destination of my home cockpit equipment. The flightmodel and cdu repsonses etc are all so real life (at least that is what i think, i have never flown a 737 so it is all imagination anyway :( )But would love PMDG to release the SDK or any other piece of software to facilitate this
