January 17, 201214 yr I can only vouch for Saitek Throttles: while I'm returning them now after almost 2 years due to some problems, they are really solid and working good - considering the price!! Can't measure it with PFC TQ I guess, it's another priceclass, but for 45€ a piece is a steal. Way more real than one lever. And I would definitely get a 2nd TQ, so you basically have 6 levers, great up to 4 engine configs, everything set up over FSUIPC in profiles, I just load the profile for each kind of aircraft, everything else is pre-saved.Pedals - had CH, were good, everyone else swears on Saitek, so they must be something.
January 17, 201214 yr Author Yeah, these Saitek throttles for only 45€ seemd to be a nice deal but I wasn´t really sure whether whey´re woth the money. Wans´t there also an upgrade available which connected the levers with each other to make them more suitable for using as 2 engine aircrafts? Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h

But if there is something like this for Saitek, I'd be happy to get it.My current setup for 2 engines is:1: Spoiler2: nothing3: E14: E25: nothing6: flapsI never exchange caps. First and last are red, middle are black. I also don't connect them for 4-engine config, I want to be able to separately use them.

January 17, 201214 yr Well, i think it I´ll get a yoke, i´ll get the Saitek Pro Flight Cessna. Seems to be pretty good ans soild. But what´s for the throttles and pedals? Also Saitek ones? Well...I also have the Saitek throttles and they have been good to me for about 3 years, now they became unreliable, I mean I'm getting a lot of spikes even after calibration and I find it a very annoying thing!I would invest in better throttles, if there are any which are not to expensive. That's just me, for you I guess it depends on how much you want to spend... David

I even weighed in on how I fixed mine in the hardware forums (after 3 1/2 years use). Maybe you can give the fix a go?As a temporary fix, I found moving the afflicted axis from full up to full down position about 30 times cleaned up the potentiometers.http://forum.avsim.net/topic/358510-saitek-repair-question/ Edited January 17, 201214 yr by ZachLW ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
January 17, 201214 yr Author now they became unreliable, I mean I'm getting a lot of spikes even after calibration and I find it a very annoying thing!I have sometimes the same with my old Saitek stick (with which I´m flying since the very first time). I have to recalibrate the x- and y-axis often but it works quite all right. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h

January 18, 201214 yr I'd like to throw in a vote for the Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog. No, it isnt a yoke, but it is the most precise and functional piece of kit I've ever laid hands on. Plus you can use it for other planes/sims which are more stick-like.
January 18, 201214 yr You could use one spare lever for gear ;)Gear is here on the button and that's fine.
January 18, 201214 yr We can do without the elitist attitude. I dare say you are the one missing the point.Zach,I have owned the Saitek Yoke and the PFC Cirrus Yoke and I can tell you the Saitek is crap. I am definately not an elitist but concur with the post to which you are referring. Andrew Dixon"If common sense was compulsory everyone would have it but I am afraid this is not the case"

Thanks David
January 18, 201214 yr Nile,What's with the attitude? We're trying to help the OP choose an affordable setup and all you seem to be interested in doing is mocking people who don't agree that he should pay $600 or more for a yoke. Yes, the brand you suggested is nice and well-built but that's not the point. Saitek & CH are both made according to their price range & while they may not be the best on the market, they do work. January 18, 201214 yr <<removed>>Congrats. You're the biggest troll today.I never recomm"a"nded a joystick for the NGX. Are you sure you've read the thread?Zach,I have owned the Saitek Yoke and the PFC Cirrus Yoke and I can tell you the Saitek is crap. I am definately not an elitist but concur with the post to which you are referring.I'm sure that once I spend $600+ on a yoke, I'll look at the <$200 one as inferior. The Saitek isn't crap for those of us that bought it to further our simming experience, and can't afford to throw $600 at one piece of hardware. For the price point, I'd say it's great. I do, however, understand what you mean. I will purchase higher end hardware in time, but it's not an option now. What is with the nasty statements from the high end hardware users? Are you guys paid to be here?! January 18, 201214 yr I agree with what you are saying, you do have a good point there but may I add a suggestion: "Look into getting a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro".I have both the Saitek yoke and the Logitech stick, but this last is for more precise and much cheaper!Yup, the 'Logitech Extreme 3D Pro' is great.I also got the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro here. FF2 is way more precise. While Logitech ain't bad, and I use it for other joystick games, as I don't prefer "destroying" my FF2 for general gaming, it isn't Force Feedback and it's a very hard spring joystick - can't do precision landings with it.Its all down to personal preference I guess. I prefer the Logitech - used it for ages and I do great landings with it. Precision wise I'm very happy with it. I like it specifically for its 'hard spring' feel. Its also very durable and at a great price.
