FSX + NGX : Some Performances "Tip-Tips" . A new FSX experience

Word Not Allowed, unfortunately u have lags while turning camera. I guess there will be much more at night and with overcast clouds from active sky.
What do you mean? I have no lag, this must be due to the video - it is not a representation of smooth feeling but shimmering and smooth panels. My sim is perfectly smooth when not recording. This is new beta FSRecorder Video Render function - which I guess isn't perfect yet.

Hey Word Not Allowed. As per my specs, What settings should i be able to achieve in your opinion as far as AA etc in Inspector is concerned and still have a smooth sim? Because i have been tinkering with this for months it seems.

Bakaman, I made a quick video for you - as you can see, no visible shimmering on the trees, displays are quite good and no aliasing on the panel edges.

A video especially for me ! thx !!!! YES no shimmering etc.... but i bet you are running it in full screen mode right? I'm in windowed mode, because i need to run EFB, TOPCAT, and others programs in the background. Difference between what you got and my rig are the same in terms of quality, but in terms of performance i have a top notch config, and everything is soooo smooth now. I'm recording right now, I'm 500nm from KLAX. Hope you'll appreciate the result!

I'm running both full screen and windowed - there is no difference here, even windowed has slightly better FPS due to rendering window being smaller than full 1920x1200.

Maybe you right. Can you tell me, why I have drammatic drops of fps when the clouds are rendered in fsx? When there is a cavok, i get 40fps from 40locked in any scenery like uk2000 or aerosoft in nx VC. But when the clouds visible i get from 5 to 15 fps.I am really dissapointed, cause i spent quite big amount of money for new PC.My videocard is GTX570 which has stock clock of 780 for core and 3800 for memoryI got it to 845 for core and 4000 for memory.I have FSX.cfg from ventubo tweaker and setting for card is on the green side:94326275.jpgJust to mention, that i still have fps drop from clouds with another modes from TABS topics.p.s My clouds aren't so big as in REX. I use clouds from Zinertek weather FX for FSX. I think that they aren't even HD...

Word Not Allowed, do you use the enb mod because I don't know if it was that you rendered using fs recorder and it was really smooth but your video looked really high quality.

FCOM, I have found that some textures bring better performance and some worse. For instance, I bought AS2012 and installed same res as in REX and was in three flights seeing lots of fps drops with same weather engine. Then I reverted my textures to REX, which has same 32bit 2048 clouds and voila... No more drops.I have no idea how zinertek perform, but I would start by deactivating that aa mode you have and simply by running only 8xS. Not Q.Just go idea to test those clouds... Will report when I have something conclusive.

No ENB here. My picture quality is quite good for my judgement (and I have high optical requirements).Let's talk smoothness, these were done full screen, Vsync ON, with an iPhone 4S. I see no stutters.Anyway FCOM, this is going too far - I don't want to keep stealing OP his topic.

I am using the 8s settings and have really smooth panning. Where i see what i think is micro stuttering is when turning during taxiing.

I'd be interested to hear how you get on with AS2012 Word Not Allowed. I'm experiencing mixed results with the new cloud textures. Perhaps a new threat topic when you get a chance to tweak it a bit?
