January 31, 201214 yr It was already said, but for as far as I'm concerned the choice you have to make is as follows:"Do I want to have lots of airlines and lots of planes types (in other wordds: HUGE coverage), or do I want routes to be as accurate a spossible, and better plane models?"If you want huge coverage, go with MTX Pro. Kepe in mind that the routes are not necessarily realistic, and I have seen some outdated routes and aircraft in use. But, I find that nice, in a way. You cna also very easily set the year that is simulated. For exmaple, I run 2010 routews, because United and continental didn't merge yet at those times. However, if you want prettier models and mroe accurate routes, go with UT2. Kepe in mind that the coverage, when compared to MTX Pro, is a lot lower, and if you want airlines you'r gonne have to add them yourself. For exmaple, if you're a crago flyer, expect to add in just about all cargo operators. I ended up with MTX Pro because I found it the easiest way to get lots and lots of traffic everywhere around the world, although I did try UT2 just to see if I'd preffered it. I didn't, so I asked for a refund, which I got. You cna do that also, of course ;-) Benjamin van Soldt Windows 10 64bit - i5-8600k @ 4.7GHz - ASRock Fatality K6 Z370 - EVGA GTX1070 SC 8GB VRAM - 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX @ 3200MHz - Samsung 960 Evo SSD M.2 NVMe 500GB - 2x Samsung 860 Evo SSD 1TB (P3Dv4/5 drive) - Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM - Seasonic FocusPlus Gold 750W - Noctua DH-15S - Fractal Design Focus G (White) Case
January 31, 201214 yr Another thumbs up for MTX Pro. It's not perfect, but the variety of aircraft, coverage and operators can't be beaten by any other addon. UT2 has the edge in terms of "looks/better graphics". Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!
January 31, 201214 yr I will also chime in my vote for MTX. Burkard is already working on the next update of version 5.4 which should be out very shortly. His updates of the major versions are free for MTX owners and Burkard provides excellent support for his product.
January 31, 201214 yr One of the problems I discovered with UT2 was that it includes schedules for some airlines, and yet not the colour schemes. This means that those planes are painted in the "Daedalus" colours, and if you have the Daedalus planes deactivated (like I do), then you do not see those planes at all! However, I have since learned how to integrate WoAI packages into UT2, and it has made a significant differenced to my airport environments. Just adding the Thomsonfly, Jet2, and Monarch WoAI packages was enough to see a big difference at Manchester, Leeds Bradford, Doncaster Sheffield, and several other airports (I only fly around the British Isles). I have now added a total of around 30 WoAI packages to UT2 (based on information that I obtained from the internet regarding the flight routes of various airlines), and I now regularly see lots of AI planes at most of the big airports (including cargo planes). January 31, 201214 yr However, if you want prettier models and mroe accurate routes, go with UT2....apart from the two major airlines that no longer appear in UTII; it has no Ryanair in Europe or JetBlue in the USA. Petraeus

I got my first version for FS2004 in 2004 and when I got FSX the upgrade was reasonably priced! Support in the MTX forum has been stellar! Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!
January 31, 201214 yr Go mtx. I have got mtx (with fs live). Support is top notch and the traffic is " live".- It does not get any better .I would never go back to ** ut2.My 0.2

Graham, the 43% was in reference to TRAFFIC X, which i was initially looking at before MTX was suggested.Have fun with it! When you can, check out more remote areas ;-) I was extremely pleased to find that, for example, Air Koryo, North korea's one and only airline, was also included. Its Tu-154B2 aircraft were merrily taxiing around Pyongyang's Sunan international airport. THAT's what I mean by great coverage: non-standard aircraft and very non-standard airlines.
