Hi JackYes, so far I've only seen that shadow on that particular scenery which in fact was version 2.And version 1 too had the same shadow.Where did you get that antilag limiter? Thanks to you, simming just became more enjoyable.

@ paul123. Just read this thread and did notice one little thing with your configuration in the Inspector. You have Vsync set to "Force On" I believe this should be application controlled and then add the lines to your FSX cfg:[Graphics]Force Full Screen Vsync=1Force Windowed Vsync=1Regards,

I have an EVGA 560 TI SC paired up with a Phenom II 955 overclocked to 3.8 ghz ; I run at nearly full settings but at big airports I get a FPS hit at around ~ 10-12. Its disappointing and extremely hard to land with all the jerkyness. To improve performance (without decreasing my settings), would you guys recommend I upgrade my video card to a nvidia 570/580, or switch out to intel? I'm already at 3.8 ghz and with more tweaking I could probably hit 4 ghz.But intel hz does not equate /= to amd hertz correct? Would I get better performance with a 'sandy bridge' system? I am already running with 8 gigs of ram, windows 7, and at 1920x1080p.Thanks

@JackFeedback. No artifacting, and getting a very acceptable 27fs-28fps on the ground at the newly-installed GCLP freeware. And same good FPS in the air at climbout.Did not run your antilag. Thanks again

No need to really... Unless your Frames jump to 40+ and it creates stutters or blurrys then dont worry about the frame limiters.JB

@Jack/anyoneSometimes I do wish I'd follow my instincts and stick to that old adage,'If it ain't broke, don't fix it'Since I installed that Bojote tweak, and got great FPS as a result, what I have never ever before had in all the versions of the 737NGX from first release to the latest SP, was the aircraft while cruising serenely on AP, all of a sudden started going overspeed with the inevitable clickety-click alram, then taking a dive, the MS FF2 joystick doing a dance of its own, the aircraft proving to be uncontrollable, AP not re-setting, weird messages such as 'Reset MCP Altitude' when the cruise altitude was already set at 35k, and other weird behaviour.Would it be in any way connected to the downloadable Jeppessen weather engine within FSX?Add to that, have a look at the attached screenie of the throttle quadrant. I've never ever seen those streaks before.Any ideas, Jack or anyone?

Not sure about the weird ap happenings.. That you should probably start a new thread and ask some of the other people here more knowledgable about the NGX specifically. In regards to the graphical streaks your getting... If your texturemaxload=4096 (I think thats what its called) Anyway if it's set to 4096, try reducing it to 1024. If the streaks go away, then try 2048. We can always talk and sort this stuff out quicker on Zoolanders Flight sim community on his teamspeak. I just finished a 2 hour aero session there and will be on a bit later. Zoolander is also very knowledgable about this stuff as well. There are a couple things that can be causing your anomolies, but try the texturemaxload setting first... Also, I just noticed your on a Q6600, thats a two core cpu, right?Make sure you don't use any of the affinity mask settings for the quad cores... Maybe I'll seeya later on the Teamspeak channel?JB

Anyway if it's set to 4096, try reducing it to 1024----already done by Bojote's fixHiya JackIntel Q6600 Quad-cored, sole reason I got it was for FSX which is why I can apply that Affinity Mask to cores 1+4. Soon it'll be replaced by the ubiquitous i5-2500K.Teamspeak address? I'll do a search for Zoolanders Flightsim community. Meanwhile, I'll try your tips, but as I'm on the other side of the Pond, I may not be able to do a Teamspeak link-up this late at night, or try that fix.Meanwhile, once again, Gracias.PS. Tried searching for Zoolanders---come up a blank

Just to clarify, Bojote's tweaker does not set texture_max_load to default 1024. If it "senses" anything other (higher) than 1024, it will not touch it.

Thanks for that Zach. As I'm only running at 1024X768 on an old Iiyama 19-in CRT until I get a 24-in TFT IPS, kinda guessed that what the Bojote's tweak picked up from the GTX460 setting.

I see! Bet you can't wait for that upgrade!

You bet! As luck would have it, last night, I just missed by a whisker, a hardware retailer selling a 24-in Iiyama TFT IPS 2ms for a steal at £114. Then all I'd have been waiting for would have been the Gainward GTX560Ti GS 1GB.Ah well, you win some, you lose some.Good Night and hasta la vista!
