Secret Project #1: This one is a classic!

Recommended Posts

WOW!! A nice surprise. It's good to see a company (other than A2A) looking back at the classics. After all, would we even have the NGX, 777, or 747 without gems like these? I'll be ready to punch in the ole credit card numbers on day one of release, for sure! Now...speaking of classic birds (although not as "classic" maybe as the DC-6)...how about in the future the DC-9???Paul

Being an old radial, I sure hope the sound pack gets extra attention. Looking forward to it.
This! If there ever was a project where sound would be nearly as important as the model itself it would be this one! Very excited for this! I can see myself now up in Alaska! Looks like it's coming along really nicely!

While it looks great it is one product from PMDG (the first one since they started producing services for FS) that I won’t be buying...But by gosh that old lady looks GREAT!Kimberly Richmond-Jones

Man I am disappointed, I was hoping for a regional airliner like a quality ERJ or CRJ, or if not that, a re-make of the 747-400 to NGX standards. This is a blow.
My thoughts exactly, a PMDG CRJ would have been a must buy. I'm sure the Classics will be of very high quality, but I have no interest in flying them. Maybe the next secret project will be closer to my taste.

Hey, PMDG Staff et alAs you've seen from some of these posts, AND as you already know, ya canne pleaze aal tha folk, all tha time.As some of you already know, it's been a major month for me... 1st my FSX PC gets nicked, shortly followed by finding a daughter I thought I'd lost 28 years ago! Now, I know you can't quite match that, you guys in office, but none the less, a PMDG DC6 rounds off January pretty nicely :(

Just feather the two outboard engines and carry on... :)
Aw, come on Jim...A *REAL* pilot would feather two on the same side and carry on. :(

Jeff-Great movie for airplane lovers... The acting and the script is a bit hokey- but the footage is good!Thats a DC-4 also. A real man's airplane. The DC-4 was where I learned the importance of flying the trimwheel. If you let the airplane operate out of trim, you'd wind up with a sore arm at the conclusion of the flight...

I wonder if Mr.York would consider doing an fs2crew classic for this? How many crew are required for this bird anyways, has to be more then 2 I would guess.

PMDG meets radials! Wonderful news, and it will sit rather nicely beside my MD11. An absolute certain purchase for me, as is the C-46 which I hope will one day appear in the Classics range.Rob, one question if I may...will there be a cargo version ?

Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting.

Funny I was just thinking the same thing. It's going to be a lot of work for one person to fly this ol girl eh.

Doing a fire suppression livery would be great! The pic to the left is of when i flew the CL215 with the 2800's (supercharged) on fire suppression. It was the only round engine i ever flew. Starting one when hot was almost an art form. You mentioned a Garmin gps.....a model was not mentioned but should it be the 400 or 500 is there any chance it could be up to the level of Reality xp?All the best,Dave in Winnipeg
