PC is here... so how do I now get the best out of it?

Forgive me for posting here, it's just I wouldn't exactly know where else to post a post like this...So my PC is here! Specs are i5 2500k, GTX 560 ti (EVGA SC'ed I believe), p67 mobo, 8gig ram, I'm a VERY excited lad!But before I go about starting FSX and reinstalling all of my addons that I have, I need some advice on how to get the best out of the PC and ofc FSX too. Currently, I was going to use Bojote's automatic .cfg tweaker, NickN's setup guide http://www.simforums.com/forums/setting-up-fsx-and-how-to-tune-it_topic29041.html and install Nvidia Inspector.I could do with some help with Nvidia Inspector as I don't have a clue as to which settings would be best for my system. And is there anything else that's gonna help me increase the looks and performance of FSX? (not addons, I'll be getting REX2, GEX, UTX, some airport sceneries etc.)I might add that, for now, I'm not gonna OC the processor. I'm sure I'll end up doing it, but I'm just going to start off with it at stock speed and see how I go.

With you recommending buying SB and not waiting for IB, I figured you already had a SB system! :Doh:Inspector is the easy part. I assume you know the basics of it's use, so I'll throw a suggestion out there for starters. I use 8xS aa, 16x af, with a frame limit of 30FPS. FSX's inbuilt limiter should be set to unlimited. 8xS is a little aggressive, but it's been working well for me with no stutters with the latest drivers. It sounds like you're pretty level headed about it, so I think you'll do fine!

:LMAO: You make a fair point, but I'm upgrading from an Acer laptop that runs at 1.47ghz, so I think I'm gonna be pretty happy with the upgrade whatever! :-)Thanks a lot for the tips on inspector, I'll most definitely keep them in mind when setting it up.Haha, I hope so! Thanks again.

It is serious.I am urging people to wait for IB/Kepler so that we can have some setups with IB get run through FSMark11.

Well firstly I'm definitely not gonna be a help with that as I honestly don't have a clue what FSMark11 is, and secondly I'd never have the budget for one of them, let alone both! But I'm sure there'll be lots of people that do get it.

I'm not sure where your prices are from but my system cost me £800. And I even had to sacrifice some parts (cooler for example) for other, lower quality ones, to fit that £800 mark.

Thought I'd post an update... well, after 2 days of moving and setting up new stuff on the PC, I've finally got it working... and WOW. It's phenomenal. Usually at Heathrow, on my old laptop, I'd be getting around 5fps with settings nearly all the way to the left, with WoAI at around 25%.Now I've got the QW757 and WoAI at 75%, sliders near maxed out, and I'm getting 15-25fps!! I'm amazed, can't believe how good it looks and how well it performs!
