I doubt if the FSX/Flight beta testers got paid or even received a "Thank you for your support" from Bill Gates".
Probably because they didn't have to pay full commercial price (or indeed anything) to be in the 'beta' :(

Well in the meantime I'll get back to using Windows 7 beta. Perhaps in a while I'll open Microsoft word beta. Maybe later I'll open photoshop beta and do some aircraft repaints. I might listen to some music on spotify beta while I'm at it.You paid full price on full commercial release for this product. Don't do yourself a massive disservice by suggesting that XPX is a beta product.
Then wait and don't buy it!!

No your right. Bill had nothing to do with ACES, but there was considerable conversation between the project manager and the devs. :Peace:Bob

I know I got a FREE copy of FSX and a FREE copy of Acceleration for my FSX beta experiences. So at the time of release how much pay was that?

As I've stated, just wait and don't buy it.

It's a good thing Austin Meyer doesn't have that attitude.

Ok, My name is Carlos and i like XPlane, your name is Jim and you like FSX. Two different ways of looking at things. You don't want to be a beta tester for XPX, don't buy it and wait. I chose to be one. What is the big deal?

No you didn't. You aren't a beta tester. That's precisely the point. It's so self-sabotaging to view XPX as a beta it's untrue. By that measure why on earth does a software company ever have to release a finished piece of software? Just release it full price, then tag 'beta' onto the end of updates and nobody ever has the right to complain. Genius!

That is my choice to decide, not yours.

It has nothing to do with attitude, Its just your right as a consumer to wait until XPX matures, try the demo and then decide if you want buy it.
