Harland & Wolf Cranes-Belfast City Airport

Featured Replies

Hello fellow simmers. Does anyone know the name of file produced years ago by IFDG group which added the H & W cranes to the default Belfast City scenery? Having to rebuild after computer expired suddenly just before Christmas. Hoping someone can help,. Thanks

If you mean IFSD (Irish Flight sim Design) group, they did not create any scenery for Belfast as far as I know (since that is northern Ireland). There was a payware scenery for Belfast city airport by Ematch which is no longer available, and I think that included the cranes. Sorry I can't be more helpful. Try googling I guess?

Hi.If you can hang on until tomorrow I'll have a look through my stash... have several Irish sceneries on my PC, inclupding H&W, Hill of Tara, Howth, et c. I guess that's the H&W you're thinking of. The scenery doesn't quite fit with UT Europe's LWM but it's definitely a nice addition.Tomorrow I'll let you know the file names. I may also have a record of the link...Regards,D

Thanks for the suggestions. Just tried Google but no luck. Will wait to see what Dave can find. Many Thanks

It might be HWv2.zip by Jerome Logue. It was for FS2002 but works well with FS4. Still available here in the library.Colin B

Thank you Colin that's exactly what I was looking for. Yes it does wtork well in FS2004 and really improves the approach to Belfast City airport.

Mornin'The file I had in mind is also in the library here. It was submitted by Ray Proudfoot (thanks Ray) after IFSD folded and is called ifsd.zip so a library search for 'Proudfoot' or 'IFSD' will surely find it. It contains version 1.11 and an update to bring the installation to v 1.12. It seems to be a complete set of the IFSD stuff. After installation the Harland & Wolfe cranes are in the folder ../IFSD/NI-HW/If you want to pick out just your favourites, or if you prefer to extract to a temporary location and then move stuff, be aware that the installer creates a new scenery.cfg and makes a backup of the original, called scenery_ifsd110.cfgKind regards,D
