I was thinking of "Sidstar", how is it? I have a friend who named his cat "Notam". Any ideas fellow simmers? (Pratt or Jet would be awesome too don't you think?)Kind regards

What does this have to do with FS04 and why did you post it twice?

Give the guy a break. But yes, this has nothing to do with FS9EPR. Pronounced ee-per Of course that's a pet name..

I don't know where the original poster lives but here, in the UK, the word "pratt" means someone of dull or limited intelligence!!David

Yeah in the UK if you named your son Pratt he would probably get beaten up at school on a daily basis!

I'm sure that the founders of Pratt-Whitney would probably be able to make a good argument against the Brits on this one. It would be interesting to know how these nicknames get started. You can bet its quite a story! We in the US have a number of these.

Probably derives from 'pratfall'.

Blue... like my dog, though probably not on the birth cretificate. And having a rather trad view of things, I still like Sky. (I prefer Skye, but that's not related to aviation as far as I can tell).Pratt is 16th century criminal stang for buttock (as in pratt-fall), dated 1560 or thereabouts. Consensus is that 1961 had the first record of the word meaning foolish person.Regards,D

I am pretty fond of the name Amelia, and it's a good tribute to aviation considering what Earhart achieved. Plus side is your daughter wont grow up hating you for giving her a crazy name ;)would it actualy be legal to name a child CFM56 Turbofan??
