HelloNo you are not alone, I too could not see any real problem. There is way to much sensitivity around these days,The only way the Flight! forum will be free of the squabbling is if they ban negative comments entirely, then what use is a discussion forum on those terms ?As long as we are only praising or criticising the "game" and not directing personal attacks then there is no harm done.I doubt Microsoft care one bit about anything said on this forum. And anyone taking criticism of Flight! personally needs to get out in the fresh air more.

Well, had that been the case the forum would have had no need to be closed. Unfortunately, there were a lot of "personal attacks" there.As a matter of fact, there's some element of that here as well, albeit not quite so blatant. Anytime someone uses a term that is deliberately intended to trivialize, demean, and/or diminish another individual or group, that's an prime example of an ad hominem posture... :Waiting:

I did note the poster a few before you had managed to sneak the "FSX is better than Flight" theme into the thread. It's been interesting to note that whatever the thread starts as - even this one - we still get into the 'coin collecting' etc dissing of flight...and on it goes from there.So I guess closing the Flight forum didn't work. Perhaps we could just close Avsim til the 29th? Actually, what I propose is more like a MMORG. We could have a 'normal' section of Avsim where people discuss how they are using Flight for aviation simulation - and a 'PvP' section, which would resemble the old Flight forum and provide the same level of entertainment for the bloodthirsty spectators amongst us.:)
