I just finished 15 minutes of Flight.I like it. A lot.It strongly reminded my of the original Flight Unlimited by LookingGlass from 1995 - silky smooth flying, silky smooth graphics! It is very pretty, and the mid-level graphics look to be the equivalent of 'sliders right' in FSX, so clearly there are some massive engine improvements.I have been flying it with a mouse; feels like the mouse with FS4, much more responsive than they had it with FSX. I like the scroll-wheel throttle, and right-click to look is nice as well.Exterior views are pretty, though no tower view - I used to like that. One little menu item I miss is the instant replay feature - maybe it will reappear, but it isn't a deal-breaker for me.I am wondering how many people fit in an Icon though...Why?Have a look at the list of achievements available. 1,000,000 people carried is going to take you a long, long, loooong time in an Icon isn't it?Hmmm, what kind of aircraft could do that, I wonder?Also, is the top speed of a Stearman around Mach 3? Maybe it is, because there is an achievement for that, too!I also never knew a Maule could reach 80,000ft either; there is an achievement for that as well.It will take 500 laps of the islands to get the 50,000 miles flown achievement, I think.So for those who think jets and other areas won't appear, maybe look again!On the serious side:No sign of helicopters yet, but since the evidence is clearly there the Flight is bound for some massive expansions, I am sure there will be helicopters soon enough.In the meantime, the job boards are amusing - transport 635kg of cats? In Hawaii? - no matter! It's still fun!Can't wait to get home and try this on my main PC!Current amount spent on brand new flight simulator? $0 - hey, you have to like the price!

Flight has legs. That much is true. It all depends on its customer base how far it goes, and in what direction.

The Icon has accomodation for 1 pilot and 1 passenger which is the maximum that an LSA (Light Sport Aircraft) can carry under the FAA LSA requirements.So............1,000,000 passengers for say a 1/2 hour sightseeing tour, and say 10 flights per day, thats 10 passengers per day, or 365 passengers per year, OR you would have carried 1,000,000 passengers after 273.9 years. Thats probably long after your licence would have been suspended. And this doesn't include any allowance for downtime, bad weather etc, etc.
