Purchased today, guess the fix isn't included yet, 6.5 to 8 fps (With NO AI Traffic) on my system. They should of placed the hot fix on their online forum so we don't have to wait until Simmarket gets around to updating their web site. Even on my system, KSTL is useless until I get the fix.

 

The numbers shown above are after renaming the below files to .bak

I've had lots of problems with their other sceneries. It's the VASI lights that cause the most problems. Try removing those.

Good to hear that they listened to their customers and read the reviews on Simmarket. Guess I will just wait for the patch to materialize and hear how the performance is post patch before I jump in. It still stumps me as to why or how they could release a scenery getting that bad FPS and performance. If I was a dev I would be embarrassed to RTM a product that performed so badly as it would give the impression that they either didn't care, didn't test it very well or at all, or that it was a rush job.

 

Like someone else said, I dont see why they cant just post the patch on their forum for people to download rather than making everyone who bough it wait. If I was them I would get the patch out there as quickly as possible for damage control before I lost anymore sales.

The scenery will change almost nothing, so please do that and then install this update that i attached in this email that its the most important for the impact on fps and check, anyway today i will upload to simmarket again kstl with the update so you can download again when it is uploaded, and please remember that if you are glad with this new update please change your review at simmarket, thanks for your patience and support.

Gents, I have the fix sitting in my email inbox. I work until 6:45am eastern US time. I will test it around 7am tomorrow morning and post results after a test flight. Plan on using the NGX for the test flight.

Well, I downloaded and installed the update from my email and removed the files that he suggested. I then flew the NGX into the airport. The frame rates are now very good and on par with what I get everywhere else. I must say Cesar did a very good job with the textures and detail at this airport. In fact he is right up there now with some of the higher quality FS scenery developers. I now highly recommend you guys buys this scenery. It looks very good and it fills in that gap of the US that did not have anything. It is much better textured than say Imaginesim's KMCI to the west and Blueprint's KMEM to the south.

So, the fix to better performance is to simply remove some of the features of the airport? That doesn't strike anyone else as odd? Kinda of a bummer they couldn't find a "fix" that didn't involve turning off some of the selling points to the scenery.

No, he did fix a few things. FYI to everyone,I just got an update from simmarket in my email that the update is now available. Guys, this scenery is really good now. I think the majority of you will be quite pleased now with your 26 dollar investment.

IMO this quick bashing of the developer was uncalled for. First email and post on their message board, wait for a reply, and patches THEN if you hear nothing you can post your negative reviews. I am glad this developer didn't get scared away, there aren't many left who develop for FSX.

Good to know it is fixed. I'll probably pick it up as well. While I don't know if the fix was the same, T2G seemed to have the same problem with MMMXv2.

First thing I noticed was how gorgeous the scenery was. Then the frame rates. Now, I think that's been fixed.

This is right up there with FSDT, Aerosoft Mega Airport, LatinVFR, etc. if it is.

Well, the fix is no fix on my system. With the latest offering (download) from SimMarket (downloaded today) my frames are still 5.5 in the PMDG 737NGX. with NO AI TRAFFIC, I've also deleted the above six files from my system.

I also sent three additional screen shots that show FSDreamTeam's KLAX at 3+ times the FPS than KSTL, I've also included KSFO from FlightBeam and KBOS from FlyTampa that also shows a 3 times increase in FPS.

To everyone who downloaded the new fix from SimMarket, YOU MAY NOT HAVE THE FIX if you downloaded the file from SimMarket. I was just informed that SimMarket screwed up. Yet another reason why a hotfix should of been placed on Taxi2Gate's online forum, I've spent hours upon hours with this scenery trying to get it to work properly, time that could of been spent FLYING!
