Hawaii add on package requires internet connect at all times?

Featured Replies

Is this true? Someone at microsoft is telling me that I must always be online to access the add-on package content.is that right?

Time for a test I guess....As far as my testing showed, if I selected my Live account, but didn't have network connection, it still loaded my content just fine.

You do not have to be online to play or use the DLC.(you will not be able to join a multiplayer session)Fred.

No, once downloaded and installed, you can even unplug your internet connection and still enjoy Flight with all of your content.

Thanks guys. I got it working now. I downloaded the Hawaiian adventure package and got it installed. Then I disconnected the internet. Then I just hit OK when it tells me that it can't connect to LIVE. It takes me to the game and everything is still there and accessible.

Now how do you go about doing that if the Internet is connected?I cannot find a way around the sign in..

Easy peasey, and simple as 1-2-3! :Nerd:
  1. Press the Home key to open the LIVE dialog
  2. Click your Gamertag (left icon)
  3. Click "Disable Auto Sign-in"

I get that pop up box too. I just click the sign in button. If my internet is disconnected then it will give another pop up box that tells me that it cannot connect to LIVE. I just click OK and it takes me to the game. If the internet IS connected then it takes you right to the game online.

I don't even have that last disable Auto Sign-in option. I have the others though.

Well, that's certainly odd, unless you've got an older Windows LIVE client...

As I suggested above, perhaps you have an older Games for Windows LIVE client. You might wish to check up on that. Otherwise, what you see in my screenshot is precisely what was installed last Tuesday...
