As the title says, if I try to select an arrival / approach for the airport which I just departed from, the sim freezes and I have to shut it down.For example, say I program the FMC to go from PAKT to PAJN, and I load a complete route. Then, after takeoff, I want to come back to PAKT (because someone forgot the Colombian coffee) so I select DEP/ARR page and then press the LSK for PAKT. At that moment, the sim freezes. Happens at every airport, not just these two. The only way to select an approach to the same airport which I depart from is to make it the Destination in the RTE page 1. After that, I can select an arrival in the DEP/ARR page.Anyone else seeing this? Want to se if I need to file a ticket or if it is just me.

Was the freeze accompanied by a black screen? I ask because I had a similar situation on a recent flight where ATC told me to go around, and when I was selecting a new approach in the fmc, and then selecting which waypoint was the active, my FSX froze, turned into a black screen, and I had to use the task manager to exit. This was pre-sp1c, and if the freeze you describe isn't the same, I can't blame the Ngx, as my FSX has been acting up lately.

Nope, I routinely load KABC-KABC (for example) when testing my sidstar files. Maybe you are attempting to change a segment that the aircraft is flying? Besides, the ARR/DEP page already provides approaches and arrivals for the departure airport. Not sure why you need to change destination.

Mariano,I just tried this at 3 different airports (PHX, LAX, LAS) with full routes loaded and each time I was able to return to the airport just fine with the arrivals page at LSK 1R.Can you set up a flight that causes this for you and then save it and mail me the files? If I understand your link, I should try to replicate the flight that causes a crash, then program the FMC and save the flight before the crash? This freeze I describe happens as soon as I select the ARR LSK for the departure airport.
