March 16, 201214 yr Just some stuff i have been thinking about. The Maule seems to be very affected by propeller rotation. In level flight, to maintain a somewhat steady heading I have been using the fuel transfer system to balance the plane. Is this what you would do in real life with such an aircraft? or have i missed something important here? The RV-6A has a digital gauge that has three digits in it. Theres a switch on it but you cant click it. From what i can tell it is a temperature indicator but for what? There already is a temperature indicator for the engine oil.. Hmm cant think of anything else at the moment.
March 16, 201214 yr The digital gauge in the RV-6 is the EGT, I believe the switches are for if multiple sensors are installed (eg on several engine cylinders), they are labelled Scan / Step / Peak and will show the hottest sensor or cycle between them or whatever.See my panel reference http://forum.avsim.net/topic/365484-rv-6-panel-reference/page__fromsearch__1AFAIK its either disfuntunctional or at least not useful in Flight.CheersKeith ...
March 16, 201214 yr There is a "hidden" rudder trim under the right yoke on the Maule :-) You can use the mouse and it's wheel to adjust for cruise...Here you can find a nice solution to assign keys or controls to rudder and aileron trim :-) Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
March 16, 201214 yr Author Yeah i know of that rudder trim, and have tried it. But i felt that the plane was turning way too much even with just 1%.. Maybe ill have to try that a bit more.
