The end of the great 737 drought...

Hi Al. Thanks for the effort, but having read MilViz's reply a few posts below my earlier one, I found it. Also downloaded their freeware T-38 to get a foretaste of what MilViz is all about but cannot seem to see it in FSX even though it's in SimObjects

Milviz have done more than most people might imagine, for example, if you have some of Nemeth helicopters, it is my understanding that some of the better ones were done by Milviz, notably the Huey.Al

I'm sorry but we do not have a freeware T-38. You have to pay for it... Not sure where you downloaded it from....We did the Huey, the Skycrane and the Aw109. We are getting ready to release the CH-47D with them....

CS 737 might be something in a while, but currently the FDE feels a bit strange.
You are right, temporarily our 732 uses the default 737 one.But the "FDE" is just 2 totally editable text files. Any mods can be done at any time.Believe me, the visuals and systems take way more labor.
If you've never noticed that item on pictures of Original 737s, it consists of two small balls mounted near the bottom of the central windscreen pillar, with a third ball in between them mounted on a little stanchion which comes off the glareshield top. When your seat is in the recommended position height-wise, the three balls will appear to be in line with one another, and since it is in the middle window stanchion, it works for both the pilot and the co-pilot's seats.
Not a problem! Consider the balls done in CS 732 version 0.6 :) Anythig else please?

From here:In our first ever freeware release, we now offer you the Milviz T-38A AI package. This contains a bunch of T-38A's doing... T-38A stuff... and a lot of airbases with AI traffic. It also is specific to the era in that those airbases that had A's are now existing with them! All in all, pretty cool! And, did we mention, FREE? Have fun and get it here!

Thanks. Did not pay close attention to the AI bit. Just saw the T-38 bit.

FREE makes people blind a bit!I would suggest that you buy it off our site. You do get a 30 day money back guarantee if you do...We also, dare I say, did the modeling (minus one part at 258 polys), all of the UV's, almost all of the texturing (except, again, for one part on the yokes) and most of the code base for the Captain Sim B-52 VC (though not the weather radar).... (not quite 5% though... closer to 95%)As well, we are offering all HD textures for the 737. 4K outside and 2K inside. (of course, we are also offering lower rez versions for those who don't have the requirements to run that kind of thing)

I generally buy something not with the intention of returning it except once in my whole Sim-buying life---the Wilco 777----so will mull over it for a while, but thanks, nevertheless. I have list of purchases to go for first before I get to your products. The current FS scene is akin to only dates in the desert and now feasts aplenty! We're spoilt for choice.

Good to see that being added, nice one.

Well... since you are asking, I'm pretty sure nobody's ever had a stab at modeling the 100 series' inflatable main landing gear door seals. As I'm sure you know, these were in fact a bit crap, which is why Boeing dropped them from most production models, and so the 737 generally does not have main landing gear door covers, but they were a feature of the first few 737s that came off the production line. I think it would be quite novel to see that on an FS rendition, because it gave the 737 (for a brief time) a fairly unique landing gear light panel which had two extra things, one being a 'not sealed' warning light, and the other being a 'gear seal shut off' switch, whereby you could isolate the seals in case they got a puncture so that any leak in the system from a puncture on the door seals would not use up bleed air. I realise that this one is a big ask, since it was a rare feature and would mean that you couldn't really use a generic cockpit for the 100 and 200 models, but it would be kind of nostalgic to see it as an option, especially for those who want to fly a representation of the famous NASA prototype 100 model.Al

Well, that explains why CS FDEs are, politely put, let's say average....

First of all, welcome to MSFS commercial developers club.I think it's inappropriate to discuss b2b issues in public forums, but if you insist:The only that Milviz did on our B-52 was:- UV and texturing of our existing VC model.- Instrument panels in our existing VC model.- Some default FXS coding of some systems.Upon delivery all three items have been redone/improved by CS significally. There's not a single pixel that has been released as is from Milviz.Anyways, that was the first and the last time CS hired Milviz because your quality is below CS standards. We wish you best luck with your very first airliner project.

Can somebody intervene? This is getting ridiculous...

You have a way of sounding professional. </sarcasm>

Captain Sim and Milviz,Gentlemen,We're getting reports suggesting that both of you should take these matters to PM and stop this public disagreement. It does not make either one of you look very good. Thank you for your consideration.Kind regards,

Wow, am I the only one flabbergasted? I wonder how much goodwill CS has lost with this spat?
