One of the criticisms I often see repeated in this forum regarding Flight, specifically what it is lacking , is there are no AI aircraft.Ok now, I can attest for certain without a doubt, there most certainly is! I see statements such as " How can this even be considered as being a sim - there are no AI!,Well I am here to tell you, you are wrong - there is most certainly AI in Flight!!Late last night I flew the " Aerobatics Competition" mission in my RV6.At the start of the mission there at Dillingham Airport, I had to sit on just short of the runway, to allow another RV6 to land who had just completed his Aerobatics attempt. AND, I watched him land! I thought WTH?, surely my eyes are deceiving me - after all, I am on some pretty heavy pain killers after my surgery. So I restarted the mission, just to be sure - and there lo and behold, sure enough, I had to wait for the other RV6 to land before taxing into position and taking off.So there you have it you naysayers, no longer can you make the claim " Flight has NO AI".It does, and it is quite apparent it does.So HA - I guess Flight is truly a simulator!! :smile:I do not want to hear any more complaints in this forum, that it does not have AI.Case closed... :LMAO:Btw, this is a really fun mission to fly. They did a great job creating the " box" to fly these aerobatics in. I got maximum points on my first attempt!I think there may be a bug in this one though. In flying the aileron roll manuever, the judge announced at the end of it " not quite". I thought what do you mean - c'mon, the aileron roll is one of the easiest maneuvers, especially in the RV, and I know I nailed it. I went on to complete the rest of the routine.After landing on the runway once finished, I got my scores on the screen. I showed I received maximum score in my total score column. Yet if I looked at each individual maneuver score, it stated I scored 0 on the aileron maneuver. But I looked again, and I got maximum score total for my overall score - even added them up in my head to confirm, the aileron roll was worth 200 points and totalling up my total score should have been 200 points less than what I was scored. I wish I had thought to have taken a screenshot of that scoreboard.Ah well, I deserved the maximum it awarded me with, cause I know I nailed the aileron roll. I even got the snap roll, even though I am quite certain my attempt at it failed, at least my perception of what a snap roll should be, but it said I got it anyway.The Aerobatics Competition Mission is quite fun gang, if you have a few hours under your belt and have not done it yet, I would encourage you to give it a try. Focusing on completing each maneuver whilst staying in the box is certainly a challenge in itself.

Last night, as I landed at some rural airport (I forget which one), there were what appeared to be military helicopters parked on the tarmac. First time I had ever seen aircraft other than the one I was flying.

There are several places where you can find static AI aircraft.At Hilo International there are some, apparently BlackHawks

Personally, I wouldn't be concerned about the lack of AI aircraft if the Flight multiplayer system only managed to put me into sessions with more than two users.

I'm think he's saying this in jest. That scene is a pre recorded cut scene of an, "oh my that's a teeth rattling landing!" It was tough to watch!I enjoyed that mission as well. Once you get the rhythm down, the timing is good and the sequence makes sense. I also had some problem with the aileron roll. I was coordinated and level the whole way through and didn't end my roll early or late and it still said not quite. I also observed the scoring act the same way. In fact, I've seen that elsewhere and so have others on this forum.

Yes, probably; but then again their pilots might be over at Flight control filing a FP.

You also get AI aircraft in the clandestine cargo missions. Believe me, you DON'T want to see them. :Ddburne, if you don't have the aerobatics award yet, do the mission until you've gotten every one of the maneuvers done right. My first attempt I missed stalling on my first try, but after some stalling practice (with a biplane tour passenger, 19 consecutive stalls) I was able to get the award.Plenty of pseudo-AI (real people) aircraft in multiplayer if you get enough in the game. Enough that if you're all at the same airport, it's necessary to announce your intentions. See? We even have ATC, as long as someone's willing to act as the controller. Because of this we may never get AI... dunno about ATC.Hook

Actually I did that very mission late last night, and managed to ace it on the first attempt with my RV6 - no idea how I managed that- got max score and the award...That is a great mission to do, I made another thread on it earlier this morning - lots of fun!Whoops, the other thread I mentioned just above was actually this thread - dang these pain killers LOL.

There is, unfortunately, someone who's only purpose seems to be to abuse the rating system. I've got more bullets (both positive and negative) in my gun though, so I can easily "negate" any undeserved negative "votes." Nice to hear that Flight has on AI aircraft in a mission.I just saw few hundreds in my FSX free flight.
