Aiports of Russia?

Featured Replies

HiI'm currently looking for some scenery addons for Russia, esecially airports of St. Petersburg and Moscow's Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo. Does anyone know some addons for this region( might also be other parts of Russia, though)or do I hva to wait for Aerosoft's Yekaterinburg to be published?I've been searching and searching, but the only things I found are for FS9 (and not even for sale anymore).ThanksFlo

If you go to the (cheekily named) avsimrus.com you will find all the Russkie (and former Soviet Bloc) scenery you desire, plus aircraft, utilities etc. Note that it is nothing to do with the real Avsim, but it is a useful website for flight simming. I do know they have scenery for most of Moscow's airports which work in FSX, and be sure to check out the scenery for Archangel's airport (Arkangelsk) which is truly excellent, including having the PSP-style textured military runway which MiG 25s used to use, there is an accompanying surrounding terrain download of the town as well if you want that. Well worth a look.Al

This is how my Addon Scenery folder is arranged (by country). Some of these are available on the AVSIM site and the Russian AVSIM.RU site. There are also many AFCAD-type files available.Frank

Nice list, Frank. I've notice the nicest Russian airports are mostly freeware. On top of that, many of them are payware quality! Too bad I know nothing about Russia and flying in that region. Though the TU-154 had me their in my FS9 days.

Tanks for reminding me of Avsimrus.com, I didn't think of that site. But as i just ´looked there, I could only an FSX verison of Sheremetyevo (no other Moscow airports), but they sure got some really great other files there.
