March 27, 201214 yr Commercial Member If not so good looking cockpit and general graphics quality doesnt bother you, then buy Majestic Software Dash 8-Q300. It has many versions, most expensive ones have realistic failure generator and are actually used by pilots of some airline to prepare for tests in real Dash 8 simulator. There is cheap one with about same price with most other high quality FS addon planes, its nearly identical to real pro version other than not having failure generator & some system that is not really used in normal flights much...So thats probably one of the most realistic addons for FSX in terms of flight dynamics and system simulation & sounds.
March 27, 201214 yr I would suggest DA Fokker 70/100. It's for FS9 as well for FSX. I've spend many hours in this bird and I can say it's very advanced.
March 27, 201214 yr SimplePMDG JS4100As said above."Saying JS41 is 'lite' or does not have FMC is an 'overshoot'. FMC has all the features besides AFIS and hold capability (plus some minor GPS and other nav stats pages, not used in FSX). You can study the actual real life unit manual and found 80% of data useful in simulation. It is extremly noisy and, as a standard for PMDG, does not have Wx radar, but many folks integrates Wx500 from other devs. You already have the cfg file prepared for this.I warn You, it is an addictive plane!" March 27, 201214 yr If you don't mind 2d only cockpits then the best regional jet right now I think is the DA/Flight1 Fokker 70/100. Just don't ever expect it to have a 3d cockpit. This product is deep in systems, a dream to hand fly and looks great. It's just really too bad no 3d cockpit.EricStill no 3d cockpit"??? Didn't they promise that to the buyers like 23 years ago? March 27, 201214 yr So the Flight1 DA Fokker is the king? I dont really mind the 2d only, infact, I prefer 2d :) Johan Pettersen

I dont really mind the 2d only, infact, I prefer 2d :)If you're happy with 2D it's awesome. :smile:Just bear in mind that it's a relatively old development... (it was released in 2006/2007 I think). March 27, 201214 yr Yeah, I know. I love the Maddog MD80 as well (which I also fly from the 2d panel), and she isnt exactly the newest plane out there Johan Pettersen
March 28, 201214 yr Yeah, I know. I love the Maddog MD80 as well (which I also fly from the 2d panel), and she isnt exactly the newest plane out thereIf You love Leonardo Maddog MD80, You gonna love DA Fokker too. Give it a try. And one more important thing - it's very "light". I mean for me this is the jet plane that I have the best FPS in the sim.
