The rain effect is an huge waste of resources, they can spend that resources in many useful thing like the EFB or the eicas cam's

LOL, the rain effect was left out intentionally from the NGX in favor of other animations. This is because there is a hard limit on total animations in FSX.

We of course know how to do it - it was left out on purpose in favor of much more useful things like the HGS and volumetric exterior lights.

Is this something that p3d fixes and allows?

Interested in this too - I would for one rather have VC rain effects than outside volumetric light effects.. I know I'm probably gonna take a beating for saying this, but that is the case however... Would be very, very cool to have the option to switch.. And more so if that option could be ported back to say the NGX!!Otherwise lovin' it all!Mas
