How to do a clean Install of FTX NA

Here is the procedure for uninstalling ORBX products for doing a clean re install

 

Go ahead and set FTXCentral to [Default]

 

 

First you Browse to FSX\ORBX\FTX_NA folder

Then Delete the 4 x PNW titled folders:

 

FTX_NA_PNW05_SCENERY

FTX_NA_PNW06_CVX

FTX_NA_PNW07_MESH

FTX_NA_PNW08_CUSTOM

 

Now Browse to the FSX\ORBX\Scripts folder

and Delete the scenerylib_NA_PNW

Then run FTXconfigurator.exe

 

Next Browse to FSX\Scenery\World\Scenery

And then Delete all the "PNW" titled files in that folder.

(Thinks while muttering..) Hmmm... let's see..... I think UT_USA/Canada should be in this fold...er............ hmmm..no...... darn it.. now where did I put that?.... maybe in the GEX folder..... hmmm. Gosh, look at the space I've got on this drive...

Delete all of the FTX insertion points in the terrain.cfg. Also, delete every FTX.XXX file in the FSX installation.

Also, in <x:/FLight Simulator x/scenery/world/scenery> you may or may not have a few/lots of *FTX_NA*.OFF or, *FTX_NA*.BGL (where * can be all sorts) in there after removal. Remove these also, being careful not to remove anything else or any FTX_AU files. Sometimes FTX central levaes stuff there, or has with me..ymmv
