Concorde change to "heavy gate" for ATC?

Recommended Posts

I have recently added GSX to my mix and noticed that it responds to aircraft placement only if correctly placed on the AFCAD footprint. I am subsequently in the process of adjusting the footprints and "T" positions in the AFCAD for the airports as I fly to them. Problem is that placing the footprint and the correct T values (40-56-76) works for all other aircraft except ConcordeX. The "small gate" that ATC assigns the ConcordeX puts it too far forward to activate the Jetway. Using the corrected footprint for "heavy gate", however, always places it just right. Is there a procedure to change FSX ATC so that it assigns a "heavy gate" instead of a "small gate" for ConcordeX. I understand the FSX uses the wingspan as its criterion, but is there a way to "request" a heavy gate from within the FSX aircraft.cfg file or within the AFCAD? If there is someone in this forum that has solved this problem I invite any suggestions you can make. Thank you all in advance.

Craig

I think all you need to do is add atc_heavy=1 to the [fltsim.X] section(s) in the Aircraft.cfg...Don

Thanks, but not the solution. That only changes the default callsign but nothing to do with gate assignment. Concorde is always a "heavy" due to weight but not wingspan.
