April 7, 201214 yr As far as I know (which is not a lot :) ), both UTX and FTX install a new layer of terrain, versus scenery layers which are prioritized in the scenery config in FSX. So, I'm not sure how the terrain layers get prioritized where they overlap. I already have FTX PNW installed, so obviously installing UTX USA will overlay the same area. I figure that I will need to disable the FTX terrain layer to install UTX, but is there anything else that I need to know about before installing UTX USA? When flying over the PNW area once UTX is installed, do I need to activate the FTX layer to see it, or will this somehow appear automatically similar to the priority layering of scenery in FSX? Thanks for any ideas. Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
April 7, 201214 yr the highest layer has priority (smaller number in Scenery Library), put FTX central to default FSX, install UTX; afterwards if you want to fly with FTX terrain, put FTX central back to NA, otherwise, you will see UTX terrain.
