Need a Small Jet with good FPS and fully functionable FMC

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I'm currently looking for a good small jet to fly that has good FPS and has a fully working flight management system that can be updated using navigrapgh.

Something like a Learjet or similar.

Are there any aircraft out there that you are currently using and find that works really well, I would like to hear from you.

I have already got Ifly and PDMG 737 but find it very slow on FPS and need something a little small to fly the shorter sectors eg New Zealand to Australia (3hr).

Current system that I'm running until I get it updated is:

Itel ® core ™ DUO CPU

E8200 @2.7 GHZ

6Mb of RAM

Look forward to your replies.

Richard

Hello

Eaglesoft Citation X V2 and the Feelthere Regional Jets ERJ135-145, both use navigraph data and have good FMC's.

Cannot go wrong with either of those.

The ERJ package is on sale until tonight at 40% off, be quick

Eaglesoft has a 10% coupon available until April 30th

Those are probably what you want by the sounds of it. The Flight 1 mustang is good but it may be too much for your pc. The eaglesoft cj1+ 2.0 has good systems too. But those two might be too small for you. There's also the Xtreme prototypes Lear, it's the best Lear for fsx.

Hope this helps

Lee

Define small hehe...

Maybe the Wilco E-Jets?? Not sure never used them....

Citation X isn't small imho but another good option...

And while it doesn't fit your criteria - the Lotus L39 with Reality XP GNS 430W (nav database updated to summer 2011) is extremely fps friendly and high fidelity. It's one of my favorite get in and go (and get there fast) kind of planes.

The Wilco Jets look great, but I have a 64bit system running on XP. The specs are as follows for the E Jets.

What I want to know is before I make a purchase is weather it would work on my system.

  • Microsoft Flight Simulator X (Windows XP/Vista) / Flight Simulator 2004 (Windows XP)
  • Windows XP/Vista 32 bits
  • Microsoft FSX Service Packs 1 & 2 (or Acceleration Pack)
  • Pentium IV - 1.4 GHz
  • 256MB RAM
  • 64/128Mb Graphics
  • 1Gb disk space.

  • Look forward to a reply.

Make sure to head for the V2 releases when it comes to Wilco/Feelthere. Both, the E-Jets or the ERJ are a winner in my eyes.

Difficult task when it comes to the detailed FMC planes. They all take some of your precious fps. I'd doubt that the smaller jets will gain much over those two mentioned.

I have the FeelThere EMB 175 and 195 v2, while they have great exteriors the systems modelled do seem very very good but the vc in places is a little on the low quality side, I have not had the time to fully learn the systems but so far so good for me :)

If you can put up with the low quality textures in the VC then i would recomend it for the systems alone :)

What you could do is you could download and try the eaglesoft planes first and if you can't stand their crappy VCs you can return them and try the ejets.Keep in mind that you will not get your money back if you decide you do not like the ejets.

Good luck.

Hello

The Eaglesoft CX v2 has a far far better VC than the Ejets which has a really poorly textured VC.

The ERJ 135-145 in complete contrast to the Ejets has a very nice VC but poor night lighting

I have all of them and I know what they look like but that is not the point. The point is that he could give the Es planes a go first because he can get a refund in case he does not enjoy the "far far better Vc". :-)
