Tip for people with low frames in the C90

Recommended Posts

Turn off the Avidyne and use the GNS400! Frames went from 30 to 60 when toggling the Avidyne. Hoping they will patch it in a few weeks and that will help out this issue!

Can someone else also confirm this?

Great news if true.

If you disable the weather radar, you can keep the Avidyne!

There's a weather radar in that plane? I couldn't spot that gauge on the screenshots. Does it help to reduce the map detail on the Avidyne by the way?

In Prepar3D there is definitely a slight hit with that thing but it's not a 30fps hit. I assume same should be in FSX.

I set clear skies so there is no cloud induced FPS variance.

The weather radar is on one of the Avidyne pages.

Nice. Thanks for the information. After tons of promising posts, I'll head over to buying her. Finally! Done.

I can confirm on the hit with the Avidyne, about 5 - 10 fps lost here in FSX.

I use the "flightplan Log"-page and then the hit is only about 3 - 5 fps.

Yah I don't understand why my system is getting so hard on frames with the Avidyne! I will turn off the Weather Radar and see if that helps! Thanks :Peace:

How do you get the read out in the upper left on these screenshots? What software provides that info? Thanks.

That's just MSI Afterburner OSD.
