Oh, so you know, for a FACT, how PMDG will operate for every single airframe they release?

Yes. They don't just change over night but if you want to fantasize about it be my guest.

You should know that it is a completely new and different development, neither of you or I know if it'd be a magical surprise release, or being tortured for months prior. Of course it's safer to go off other releases, unless you're not an optimistic person. No need to argue over it! Chill! :O

They don't do magical surprise releases. Ever. That's just the way it is. I'm not arguing but feel free to take it how you want. Like I said nothing wrong with fantasizing.

It will release sometime after tomorrow.

If the world had ended you wouldn't have had the chance to see the 777 finished.

We decided to do things a bit differently this time and open up a 777 specific forum ahead of the release instead of just before it as we have in the past.

Just out of curiosity, if you hadn't had opened up a 777 forum last year and did it as normal, would have it been created by now? ^_^

I'm going to say not April, but definitely by "the ffggddsfsdf"

My money is on that.

I guess that Fs9 users, are left out in the cold one again that includes the PMDG Patch/upgrade for the 747. I would rather spend $54.00 on FS9 then spending $1500 to advance to FSX to the standards I currently have with FS 9. Microsoft FS dead!

My $.02 worth!

You do realize that a PMDG 777 for fs9 would not be possible unless they recoded everything and left out a bunch of features. Fs9 cannot support everything they have put into the 777x. And this is coming from the mouth of someone who still uses fs9 from time to time for certain addons. Plus, PMDG have stated that starting with the MD-11, fsx sales have been far far greater than fs9 sales

left out  on the cold  guess you have been away for  a long  time,  they have  stated long  time  ago  they are not going to support fs9 any more due  to the market of  fsx  etc. You can either  stay with fs9  or move to fsx your choice

It is definitely possible to move to FSX for way under $1500 nowadays. You can build a good system for under a $1000 pretty easily.

The move to FSX is definitely worth it too..it used to be that it didn't look much better than FS9 because the FSX addons were just ports from FS9 and didn't capitalize on new features like HD textures. Almost all FSX addons look WAYY better than their FS9 counterparts now if an FS9 version even exists. FSDT KLAX is a great example; although you may think it is the same addon, the FS9 version is much lower quality than the FSX version.

Almost every developer seems to headed in the FSX direction because the addons produced natively for FSX look so much better. The NGX alone is a fantastic reason to make the switch alone, not to mention the 777. Many of the features, HD textures, etc in these addons simply won't work in FS9 and have no easy port.

You realise most developers supported FS9 way beyond the point most developers would've done in any other industry. You're about two years late with this post, it would've arguably had some merit in relation to the NGX, but to still expect FS9 support years after PMDG stopped supporting it and years after they announced they will no longer be supporting it is quite ridiculous.
