3D Lights Redux config

Recommended Posts

Backup first obviously in case you want to revert back. If you think the gear lights are a little too close change the three "10.0" values to 10.5 and it will move them out a little.

Panel.cfg

Add to: [Vcockpit01]

gauge10=shockwave_lights!SW Lights_gear, 1,1,1,1 //shockwave light

Aicraft.cfg

Add to: [LIGHTS]

light.5 = 5, 10.0, 0.6, -1.70, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_no_flare // Shockwave light

light.6 = 5, 10.0, -0.6, -1.70, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_no_flare // Shockwave light

light.7 = 6, 10.0, 0.0, -2, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_no_flare // Shockwave light

light.8 = 7, 0.1, 23.2, 0.8, fx_shockwave_landing_light_short // Shockwave light

light.9 = 7, 0.1, -23.2, 0.8, fx_shockwave_landing_light_short // Shockwave light

Thank you for this tips, Bill. There is another improvement for the taxilight:

Backup first obviously in case you want to revert back. If you think the gear lights are a little too close change the three "10.0" values to 10.5 and it will move them out a little.

Panel.cfg

Add to: [Vcockpit01]

gauge10=shockwave_lights!SW Lights_gear, 1,1,1,1 //shockwave light

Aicraft.cfg

Add to: [LIGHTS]

light.5 = 5, 10.0, 0.6, -1.70, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_no_flare // Shockwave light

light.6 = 5, 10.0, -0.6, -1.70, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_no_flare // Shockwave light

light.7 = 6, 10.0, 0.0, -2, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_no_flare // Shockwave light

light.8 = 7, 0.1, 23.2, 0.8, fx_shockwave_landing_light_short // Shockwave light

light.9 = 7, 0.1, -23.2, 0.8, fx_shockwave_landing_light_short // Shockwave light

In Bills configuration the taxilight is still shining, even if the gear is up. With a second new line in the panel.cfg the taxilight will be switched off too, when the gear is moving up:

Panel.cfg

Add to: [Vcockpit01]

gauge10=shockwave_lights!SW Lights_gear, 1,1,1,1 //shockwave light

gauge11=shockwave_lights!SW Lights_taxi_gear, 1,1,1,1 //shockwave light

Allways three greens,
Markus

Nice light config., but a small issue. Set up a night flight and once airborne shut off the panel lights. You can see a glow through the forward panel. It's the taxi light shining through. Could anyone post an adjustment to eliminate this? Really cool lights though.
