April 19, 200422 yr Just wanted to know what payware scenery out there that people seem to like the best.I am in the market for some new scenery and would like to hear your opinions.*NOTE* I already own SoCal Mega Scenery and just about all of the LAGO stuff. What I am really interested in are airport sceneries.I have no interest in blowing $130+ to see a photorealistic Sweden or whatever it is, lol, so that isn't an option. So, as mentioned above, which airport sceneries do you most enjoy?I have been looking at the FlyTampa KSAN scenery (where I grew up...not at the airport, lol) and have heard some good things about it but $21.50 for one airport seems a little high, is it worth it? But other then that and LAGOs stuff (most of which I own) I don't really know of anything else out there.Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!!:) Ark -------------------------- I9 9900K @ 5ghz / 32GB G.Skill (Samsung B) / Aorus Master Mobo / EVGA GTX 2080Ti FTW 3
April 19, 200422 yr Hi Shane,Well, I prefer the "smaller" fields, and for this I would say Orcas Island is probably one of the best.As for larger airports the only one that makes me go WOW, everytime I go there is FlyTampa's Miami, its a beautiful piece of work.Have you tried any of the ISD freeware sceneries?, they have some exceptional large italian airports.Dan.
April 19, 200422 yr I like maybe most the Swedflight pack ESSA, ESSG, ESMS + free bonus EKCH (all running nowadays with a very good frame rate). And of course the German Airports from Aerosoft.. not as frame rate friendly but with a lot of life on the airports..
April 19, 200422 yr Are you not interested in "free stuff?" cos there is lots out there that is just as good, if not better than payware.I only have freeware on my computer at the moment, then again, it's my own scenery anyway and I don't fly anywhere else. Check it out, Seychelles. It won't cost you anything and if you don't like it then bin it.More stuff to come from me and it will all be free.Colin
April 19, 200422 yr Thx for the opionons so far guys, I really appreciate them.Colin, I am interested in free stuff as well of course. I was just wondering what is out there payware wise because I don't keep up on payware scenery too much, ie. German Airports, Swedeflight somebody above had mentioned, for instance, I have never really heard of.BTW, I just downloaded the "Seychelles Islands Update" (the complete pack and it is excellent work, thx for the tip! :) Ark -------------------------- I9 9900K @ 5ghz / 32GB G.Skill (Samsung B) / Aorus Master Mobo / EVGA GTX 2080Ti FTW 3
April 19, 200422 yr "I have no interest in blowing $130+ to see a photorealistic Sweden or whatever it is"I would :) In fact I would spent twice that or more to be able to actually see my house in Flightsim because that would really be fantastic.BTW I assume you mean Switzerland, not Sweden and you were refering to the Switzerland Professional Scenery. For some reason non-Europeans ("foreigners") always confuse Sweden and Switzerland :-lol I have no idea why - the names sound kind of similar and both have been "neutral" countries - but they are quite far apart, one being in the Alps bordering with Italy and the other partly inside the polar circle :)Also, Americans tend to confuse the Balkans with the Baltics - Visitors from the US come with bags full of food to the Baltic states, thinking they are visiting the war-torn Balkans :-lol :-eekSorry for going a bit off topic here - but confusing Switzerland and Sweden is kind of like mixing up Texas and Minnesota...or mistaking Canada for the US :-lol - We have to learn all the US states in school, why don't you have to learn all the countries in Europe? :(Can't help you with the question much - I actually prefer bigger photoreal sceneries over airport sceneries - I only spend the first and last few minutes of the flight at the airport - the rest is spent in the air. You can try the France VFR scenery however (you know where France is, don't you? ;) ) http://www.francevfr.com/ -

I thought the scenery covered Sweden, not Switzerland. ;)Besides that, the photoreal scenery I heard isn't to good when you get to the higher flight levels. :(And $130 gets me a flight to Las Vegas on a real airline, round trip. lol Ark -------------------------- I9 9900K @ 5ghz / 32GB G.Skill (Samsung B) / Aorus Master Mobo / EVGA GTX 2080Ti FTW 3
April 20, 200422 yr I agree with Fred. Fly Tampa's scenery is amazing.Far better than anything else I've seen. Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
April 20, 200422 yr Thx Fred and John. I think I am going to go with either the FlyTamp Miami or FlyTamp San Diego scenery. It is kind of ironic how the reason I am looking for some good airport scenery is for my PMDG 737 and you guys both respond....I have a copy of Fred's V2 Tutorial in my lap as I read this, LOL (thx for the tutorial btw Fred. It sure helps!).If I may ask, what are your opinions on the Miami and San Diego Scenery by FlyTampa I mentioned above? And thx to the other posters as well!:) Ark -------------------------- I9 9900K @ 5ghz / 32GB G.Skill (Samsung B) / Aorus Master Mobo / EVGA GTX 2080Ti FTW 3

April 20, 200422 yr Hi,Just thinking some more about this, there are many, many countries that are screaming out for a good payware airport treatment.Australia and NZ spring to mind, but there are many more that are overlooked by companies who do very detailed sceneries.Dan.
April 20, 200422 yr Dan, you're not wrong. What I would give for a decent set of airports like Melbourne, Sydney, Christchurch, Auckland, Wellington etc.. Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
April 20, 200422 yr I recently purchased Manhattan Scenery add-on from Aerosoft. WOW especially flying around in a helecopter but the scenery is just absolutely fantastic. Much more to see than paying 10 bucks less for small cities like san diego
