What FSX GA planes have the best FDE

Featured Replies

Sorry for the offense. I was answering the OP's question, and of course it is my opinion. But, for the record, I'm a pilot. That cute little yellow avatar is my plane. I base my opinion on the way sim aircraft model the entire flight envelope relative to real flight. You'll have perhaps noticed my comment on spins.

However, to be fair, I don't have the Duke. I'm not a twin fan. But even so, the Duke has been on my maybe buy list because of all the praise it has received. I bought the Scout when it came out, and also the Siai-Marchetti. I've put a LOT of hours in both. I've enjoyed them immensely. But, as I said, I don't fly them much anymore, as other planes, such as the two I mention, do a better job of realism for the flight profiles those two planes inhabit. I should have been clearer about what planes I was talking about.

However, quite a few of the guys I fly with in MP fly the Scout most of the time. They love it. It's a great plane. It's just not, in my pilot opinion, a plane with as realistic an FDE as others out there, which was the question posed.

As I said, no offense was intended, but these sorts of questions, and perhaps these fora in general, don't have much of a point if we're restricted to being ###### and singing the praises only of all the addons out there.
