Perhaps not and certainly there are scenery addons, such as those produced by France VFR, which provide absolutely stunning scenery for FS9, but I really like what this does to the Miami area and I was certainly impressed by it. To get the best out of it though I had to deactivate Ultimate Terrain USA, which for some reason prevents some of the autogen being displayed. Overall, I feel that FS9 today is capable of achieving a level of realism which we would probably have never even imagined when we first installed FS9 all those years ago.

I'll post a shot when I get the chance with all the bells and whistles of FS9.75... ^_^

The scenery is great and it's nice to have Miami done decently in FS9, finally.

Looking forward to seeing that - I just took that shot on the spur of the moment, within the first few minutes of trialing Miami City as I just thought how good it looked compared to what we would accept a few years ago!

Les, mate, you are still on the outdated 9.75?

With all the great addons it has been updated to 9.90 for the last year or so. grin7.gif

Hello all, is anyone else experiencing OOM issues with this scenery combined with LatinVFR KMIA? Been trying to narrow it down, with this scenery diasabled, no OOM issues with the LAtin VFR KMIA. Any help would be appreciated.

Anyone having issues with Miami City 2012 and LatinVFR Miami combined? The only issue I have is when I have realistic weather selected, only one runway is active...Runways 12/30. Any idea how to get all runway active?

I seem to recall such a discussion on LatinVFR's forum. Why dodn't you check it out?

Purchased, downloading and deleting demo (or can I leave it there?). One of the photos in Simmarket shows my grandpa's house

I just wanted to weigh in and say I am not throughly impressed with the scenery. Its seems great because there is nothing else out there. LatinVFR Miami is also another scenery which is great because it adds the new terminal but I am not thrilled with its shading and lack of dynamic traffic both in airport and outside. The buildings in the Miami scenery are great no doubt. But the photo scenery lacks. Also if you use Fla Landings you get some duplicate buildings. I had to shut off Fla Landings (which in my opinion was terrible but there was nothing else out there for Ft Laud) to remove the two AAL Arenas and other buildings. For me if Flytampa redid this (I know now they wont) Or maybe Aerosoft(like their mega airport series using AES lite coupled with good photo scenery this would be a champ. Here is another fantasy thought: How about UK 2000? I love their work and moving traffic. If they redid Miami like Heathrow or Gatwick. I also need a scenery like this with good photo scenery for FT Laud.

I try to be inconspicuous. My wife can't tell which dummy is made of wax.

How about UK 2000?

They would have to become USA2000! Big%20Grin.gif

Rafal really?LOL However that said they do really fine work as I am sure you already know. Eventually they may run out UK airports and want to venture out a bit. For me its wishfull thinking. Maybe Aerosoft but sometimes they include AES lite and sometimes they do not. But if they did a Miami like the Frankfurt Mega or Maybe Paris orly mega I would be thrilled.

As far as I know neither UK2000 nor Aerosoft have plans to build any US airports.

Of the HQ developers, FlyTampa and FlightBeam are the ones who build US airports, but I have not heard about any Miami plans.

I am afraid LatinVFR's offering is something I call 'the middle hit', which means a scenery not good enough for many simmers not to want a better one, but good enough for other developers to calculate another rendition is not necessary (from your words I guess you have similar feelings).

Does anyone own the legacy FlyTampa KMIA and the Latin VFR versions? If so, how do they compare?

Aerosoft sell a CD with four legacy airports on it at a very cheap price and even with postage, it still is a lot cheaper than buying the download versions seperately. I know KMIA was one of the earliest of the FT products, but they have always been top notch so my guess is that it's still a good option. (And it does have AES support)
