August 6, 201213 yr Picked this up today myself. The buildings are amazing and it is very filled out with generated scenery. Very nice. Two things would make it better: I agree with someone above that the photo scenery is low resolution on this scenery. After all that work on the generated scenery, it'd be nice if it had a good base under it. Where are palm trees? Seems like all the trees are regular trees. This is Miami, right? August 6, 201213 yr And it does have AES support I am afraid it does not, Ian. See Oliver's notes in the the AES airport request thread:
August 6, 201213 yr Does anyone own the legacy FlyTampa KMIA and the Latin VFR versions? If so, how do they compare? 0 I bought the CD to which you refer Ian many years ago now (at full price I might add.) Excellent in their day, and very serviceable now I have upgraded KMIA and KSFO simply to take advantage of better graphics. More money than sense perhaps but having AES at KMIA was important to me since I have recently discovered Central and South America as destinations and KMIA, Houston and KDFW are logical hubs. Getting right down to it if you feel you will do A LOT of flying from KSFO and KMIA it would be worth acquiring the latest tech. If, however, you will visit only every so often then the CD is the better bet.
August 6, 201213 yr Thanks for the feedback guys. I will keep thinking it over.. Now I realize it doesn't have AES support, I will probably not bother... Cheers Ian
August 7, 201213 yr Just loaded the scenery. Absolutely one of the best I have ever seen. I caught this on sale for $12.97 and feel like I stole something. The first time I ran it, I got a black screen. Hasn't happened since. I think my video card just wasn't ready for such nice work.
