FAA Testing an ILS Near You

Recommended Posts

Greetings,

Uploading to the Avsim Library is a representation of N21. This is a FAA King Air used to test navigation and ILS equipment. Not sure if anyone knows the history of the paint scheme, but it reminds me of Air Force One. Someone want to be a bit like the pres...? LOL

Enjoy... Happy Landings.

Kevin

N21 I believe is a C90GTi with a Pro Line 21 avionics suite... though I could be wrong.

A search of the FAA aircraft registry indicates N21 is not in use at this time, but is reserved by the FAA. It was first used in 1929 for a Boeing 100 serial #1142 that was destroyed in 1931. It was then used from 1937 to 1947 on a Fairchild 24G. I find no current registered aircraft using N21. LJ902 is registered with N62 and is a Beech C90.

I find N11 through N16 are also FAA aircraft and are C90 GTi models.

I based the repaint off a pic found on airliners.net of a c90 with the reg. N21.

As far as the details of the aircraft and its uses... I really don't know... I leave that up to everyone and their imaginations for FSX... :-)

Glad you all enjoy the scheme...

You're correct, LJ902 was N21... then was re-reg'd to N62, wonder what the reason of that was.

Well, hot rodders often take a base model, and badge it something else... Malibu to Chevell SS for example.

Yellow5 has got a crazy great paint shop.
