I posted this question out of curiosity. Perhaps it can help PMDG gauge popularity of other NGX variant expansions.

ER only. I don't see a reason to make a BBJ version, if all it does is give you a nice new paint-job and some minor changes in the aircraft's configuration.

ER is what I want. I might buy the BB. Cargo NG's don't exist IIRC, and I have zero interest in military....anything.

While there are no dedicated freighters as of yet, there have been a few 737-700Cs sold. I suppose somthing like this could be part of a Military variants package since the C-40 is simply a militarized 700C. Might be nice for VAs and freight dogs to have access to PMDG quality short-medium range cargo hauler.

The BBJ. I have little interest in ERs, although still better 900ER than normal 900...

I want my own BBJ, so I can fly it virtually anywhere. Robert said they are waiting for more technical data before pursuing a release of ERs or BBJs. I think there should be enough interest among us for an expansion to be profitable for them. In the meantime, I can't get enough of my NGX. I tend to use the -700w and -800w the most. Yesterday I simulated a delivery from KBFI to EGPH using a Thomson -800w. I took off before gong to bed, and landed this morning :Big Grin:. Full tanks and zero payload, and plenty of fuel left. I used most of the waypoints BA uses on their KSEA - EGLL route.

Were you sleeping in the cockpit? Sleeping in duty? Fired! :LMAO:

Actually left the cockpit, and set my sleeping bag in the aisle since the plane was empty :Just Kidding:

You can't sleep "in" duty. I think that should be "on" duty... Wait you can sleep in another kind of "doodie" but that's not healthy...

Sorry to nitpick.

None, i would prefer PMDG developing a classic or better yet an original 737.

Actually your ultralong flight inspired me to plan something similar. Okay, not that long but still, long enough, almost 2700 NM. I will be flying the Privatair 737-800 and depart Munich [EDDM] for Muscat [OOMS]. I wanted to do it tonight, departing 2345 local time so I could sleep a bit after reaching cruising altitude and returning to the "flight deck" just before the T/D... but my bride didn't want to "fly" so I had to postpone this one for tomorrow, flying in daylight:-)

Despite I couldn't "depart" under the night, at least I did set up the FMC to see if at all the -800 is capable of doing such a long flight with the amount of passengers I planned to put onboard. I added 64 passengers, and for each passenger, 20 kg of baggage, plus 1250 kg other cargo. Based on the fuel planning described in the second tutorial, 18491 kg of total fuel is required including reserves, which means it is indeed possible to do this flight. So, now I am off to bed but tomorrow there's this nice, long flight, approx 7 hours, Munchen to Muscat:-)

I found some data on recent delivery flight plans for anyone who wants to do some "long-haul NGX ops", while we wait for the BBJ:

-Air Europa delivery with a stop in Gander: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/AEA1001/history/20120430/2100Z/KBFI/CYQX

-Transavia delivery with a stop in Keflavik: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/TRA52/history/20120501/2000Z/KBFI/BIKF

-Ryanair delivery non-stop to Dublin: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/RYR800P/history/20120428/0300Z/KBFI/EIDW

It's easy to find these on FlightAware by tracking flights out of KBFI
