com/nav settings

Recommended Posts

I find it very unnatural to have the FO set the frequency directly into the active slot, on the call, vice the preset.

I like to keep an orderly progression of frequencies, preset in anticipation, and flip them as required. Any chance this could be changed, or offered as an option?

Even if the frequency ended up in the primary/active slot, it should have been loaded in the preset, and then the frequencies flipped. Perhaps a different verbage for that.

You can say "set 119 point 42 on standby com one" and after that just say "swap com one"

The same goes for com 2 and nav 1 and nav 2.

Kind regards

Peter

Perfect. Is that in the manual somewhere, I did scour through it but did not find it.

It would be helpful if there were an appendix of voice commands, with all possible commands logically grouped together -- for reference until you get used to them.

Hi Orest,

RADIOS:

- SWAP COMM 1

- SWAP COMM 2

- SWAP NAV 1

- SWAP NAV 2

- SET COURSE ON MY SIDE XXX

- SET COURSE ON YOUR SIDE XXX

- SET XXX POINT XX ON NAV 1

- SET XXX POINT XX ON NAV 2

- SET XXX POINT XX ON COMM 1

- SET XXX POINT XX ON COMM 2

NOTES:

1. You can use "DECIMAL" in place of "POINT".

2. You can also set the STANDBY radios by speaking "STANDBY" in front of COMM or NAV.

Example:

- SET XXX POINT XX ON STANDBY NAV 1

Full Voice Commands are listed here:
