For the former TWA pilots and crew this will be a second take-over for them. TWA employees weren't treated very well by American in that takeover so we will see how well US Airways treats American employees this time round.

There goes US Airways destroying yet another airline. First it was PSA (they promised all the same stuff before - even one of the past owners said it was the worst mistake he had ever done), then America West, now AA (was there otheres?). The only way US Airways makes money is not through aviation but by buying up the competition and chopping it up for parts.

Well technically American West bought US. That is why they operate still as AWE and use the Cactus callsign. America West kept the USAir name because it is usable internationally.
