RXP 430, VOR1, and HSI

Recommended Posts

I just edited a panel by taking out VOR1 and replacing the DG with an HSI.

I'm using an RXP 430 in the panel.

However, I found that if VOR1 is installed, the HSI reacts to NAV1 normally, even if the 430 is turned off - but if VOR1 is removed, the HSI only links to the NAV freq. on the 43

Is there a way around this? I want to be able to use the NAV radios with the HSI when the 430 is off.

Also - is there a way to get the 430 to sync with the NAV stack?

Also #2, , I have a Saitek radio panel, and would like to be able to control the NAV freqs on the 430 with it, but not sure if this is possible. :)

Being pretty new at this I know what I want but not what I'm doing!

cheers

Andrew
